The results of the tenth John Collier Annual Survey on Environmental Compliance and Good Governance of South African Golf Courses have been releases and Prince’s Grant has received a special mention.
As in previous years, all the data from the John Collier Surveys received from clubs throughout South Africa was collated and then published the John Collier Annual Survey. Following the publication of the survey, the questionnaires are re-visited to ascertain which club submitted the most comprehensive report.
According to a press release send out by John Collier, there was a 39% response rate from Golf Clubs throughout South Africa and a 27% national compliance level – although there are always those Clubs that stand out as being exceptional. The press release stated that there were a number of strong contenders; however Bryanston Country Club was awarded the John Collier Good Governance and Environmental Compliance Survey Report Review for 2016 – 2017.
According to John Collier, Bryanston Country Club’s achievements clearly demonstrate on an ongoing basis that they have identified with the World Environmental Day theme of “connecting people to nature” and the slogan being “I’m with nature”.
The press release went on the state the following: “Notwithstanding Bryanston Country Club’s award, Special Mention must also be made of the Prince’s Grant Golf Estate on the KZN North Coast and last year’s winner Umhlali Country Club reports. In this regard, Umhlali once again illustrated an ongoing commitment towards sustainable improvement and Prince’s Grant impressive reporting of data by their green keeping team.”
