1st Hole – Temper Tantrum

Stroke: 11
Par: 4
Playing Tip:
Favour the left with your drive and don’t be long with your approach as the green runs from left to right and front to back.

2nd Hole – Pump House

Stroke: 3
Par: 4
Playing Tip:
Unless there is a serious wind in your face, leave the driver in the bag. Calculate your second shot carefully, then add one club.

3rd Hole – Look Down

Stroke: 15
Par: 3
Playing Tip:
The wind can play tricks here – correct club selection is critical. Take the water out of play and use the bank to the left of the green where the ball is sure to feed off onto the middle of the green.

4th Hole – Apollo

Stroke: 5
Par: 4
Playing tip:
A good drive to the left side of the fairway presents a birdie opportunity, but an approach shot left will be severely punished!

5th Hole – Apollo

Stroke: 13
Par: 4
Playing Tip:
Not a long hole, but beware of the sluit on the left of the tee. Tricky putt if the pin is at the back.

6th Hole – Career Best

Stroke: 7
Par: 5
Playing Tip:
Welcome to PG’s Amen Corner, the first of back to back par fives where many a good nine has been ruined! A favourable wind will entice the brave to have a go in two. Be happy to take a par and move on.

7th Hole – Umdoni

Stroke: 9
Par: 5
Playing Tip:
Beware the sluit that awaits your tee shot and then runs down the entire right hand side of the fairway to the large undulating green.

8th Hole – Hillside

Stroke: 17
Par: 3
Playing Tip:
The wind is there but you can’t feel it! Favour the right to avoid a hike back down to the 7th fairway for your second shot.

9th Hole – Lang Wack

Stroke: 1
Par: 4
Playing Tip:
OB on the right and a big drop on the left so “straight is great” off the tee on this well deserved stroke 1! May the wind be with you!

10th Hole – Out Again

Stroke: 6
Par: 4
Playing tip:
Keep the driver in the bag and favour the left and avoid the bunkers to give yourself an easy approach to this tricky green.

11th Hole – Umhlotaan

Stroke: 14
Par: 3
Playing Tip:
If the wind is up from the South, short of the green is the smart play here.

12th Hole – Bunkers

Stroke: 18
Par: 4
Playing Tip:
Bunkers everywhere, but a birdie opportunity for the well placed tee shot.

13th Hole – Stay Right

Stroke: 2
Par: 4
Playing Tip:
Unlucky for some! A stray tee shot here guarantees a reload… be straight or be sorry.

14th Hole – Windy

Stroke: 8
Par: 4
Playing Tip:
A straight tee shot will produce a birdie opportunity but don’t be long with your approach shot.

15th Hole – Umvoti

Stroke: 10
Par: 5
Playing tip:
One of the best golf views in Africa but beware the bush on the left and OB on the right.

16th Hole – Paddyfield

Stroke: 16
Par: 4
Playing Tip:
Don’t be fooled by this innocent looking par four, plenty of opportunity to lose a ball or two here if you are not careful.

17th Hole – iLala Palm

Stroke: 12
Par: 3
Playing Tip:
Great short hole, aim right of the palm trees and let the ball feed off the slope.

18th Hole – Cobblestones

Stroke: 4
Par: 5
Playing Tip:
Par five to finish, sluit on the left all the way, then it grabs you again in front of the green. A well laid up second shot will definitely create a birdie opportunity.
